In December 2019 ISO published new standard  ISO/TS 26030  Social responsibility and sustainable development – Guidance on using ISO 26000:2010 in the food chain. The food and agriculture sector is significant for our world and our well-being. The new standard provides guidelines for any organization to contribute to sustainable development. Use of the Standard will help improve social responsibility and sustainability in the food industry. This as a result will positively impact our society as a whole. Making sure that people have the right competence contributes to the organization’s sustained success. ISO 9001:2015 set requirements for definition and provision of competence. Recently, ISO updated their ISO 10015, Quality management – Guidelines for competence management and people development . This document does not modify any of ISO 9001 or other standards requirements but rather helps integrate competence management into the organization's daily work by taking a quality management approach. The revised  ISO 10015, Quality management – Guidelines for competence management and people development  is fully aligned with the new ISO 9001:2015.
